Geography homework for the weekend, December 5-7, 2014

Red and Blue group: Finish writing your persuasive essay final draft on FCA sheets. Staple your rough draft to the back of your final draft and hand in on Monday.

White group: You should be finishing your rough draft, self editing, and asking at least one other person to edit your work prior to Monday's class. You will have 15 minutes of work time on Monday with all remaining writing to be completed for homework Monday night.

Geography homework for Monday, December 1, 2014

Study for a T2 on the definition of relative location and absolute location.

Be prepared to share an example of each from our studies of South America. 

Examples:

1. Tierra del Fuego is located at 54 degrees south latitude and 67 degrees west longitude. 

This example absolutely locates the island of Tierra del Fuego.

2. Paraguay is a landlocked country in South America. Its capital is Asuncion, and it is surrounded by Bolivia, Brazil, and Argentina.

This example relatively locates Paraguay.
